2023 The decision to change the business name to Rosebank Running and Fitness evolved after the rackets side of the business was sold to Club Rackets from Sheffield. Ian Sills who owns Club Rackets was a perfect match being an independent specialist racket retailer and agreed to continuing with the shop inside the Rosebank building with Terry Turner (the Rosebank specialist racket knowledge) helping to manage the operation.
2021 It is with a heavy heart that Rosebank Sports stops selling crown green bowls, snooker and darts to concentrate on the growth of the specialist areas of Rackets, Running and Fitness.
2020 Covid-19 hits. For the first time in its history, the doors at Rosebank Sports were closed as the COVID-19 pandemic swept the country.

2007 Sadly on Sunday 1st April 2007, the founding partner of Rosebank Sports Richard Turner passed away, at age 79. A truly dedicated, passionate, family-oriented businessman, he set up the company after retiring from his successful career at Barclays Bank. The sport was a large passion of Richard and his family who were all keen table tennis players. The company Richard set up, initially as an interest, soon became a very successful family business and a legacy which passed down through the family. The company became a representation of the strong character, good working ethic and social strength Richard was known for.
2003 In October 2003 Rosebank Sports celebrated 25 years in business with a dinner dance celebration at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford, attended by many past customers and suppliers. This was the first time the business had time to reflect on how far it had come and how much it had achieved in the past 25 years. The night was made very special by the attendance and incredible support of many supporters and regular customers.
2002 In late July 2002 we received a surprise phone call from the Jamaican Commonwealth Badminton Games squad manager, asking whether we could supply badminton shoes to them. All the players' shoes had unfortunately been left back in Jamaica.
1997 - 1998 In October 1998 Rosebank Sports underwent a complete refit of the interior, to open up both of its floors to sales of sports goods. The upstairs used to house furniture and other items such as brassware. However, this side of the business was disbanded and the business solely focused on sports. The shop went from looking tired and dated, to a modern comfortable, attractive store. This refit has given the shop the professional feel the business has aimed for.
1992 In December 1982 Rosebank Sports moved to its current location in Northwich, situated at the top end of Witton Street. As the business expanded and the reputation grew, the old shop became unsuitable. Therefore Richard obtained a very attractive property in a fantastic Tudor-style building. This new shop front has since become a solid base for the business. Although the business expanded into many different properties (at one point there were five different stores) Witton Street in Northwich has always remained the prime shop.
1978 During the summer of 1978, Richard Turner retired from his job at Barclays Bank and supported by his wife Rose, established Rosebank Sports. It traded from a small shop in the village of Goostrey, Cheshire. The main trade of these premises was table tennis. The founder (Richard Turner) travelled to many table tennis tournaments and events to set up stalls. The actual shop was only very small in size but stocked a wide range of products. This didn't just include sports: Richard used to sell wellies and umbrellas from the shop too!
